Defiance

I don't typically enjoy watching war movies. This was one of the exceptions. It was really interesting getting to see a different side to World War II. It was still a war movie, but it was still a really good movie.

“The forest…it’s beautiful isn’t it?” A story about WWII I’ve never heard of or seen on screen, that’s a rare thing indeed. A bit slow throughout but the personal drama among those at the camp trying to survive was somewhat compelling. Liev, Daniel, and Jamie were charismatic leads—Liev being my favorite to watch on screen. Love Daniel, but I love a hot head more than the stoic/cold archetype he was leaning into. Overall pretty solid but I can see why I’ve never really heard about it before, no shade.
