This rewatch provided an unexpected warmth and renewed appreciation for Mattie's character (Darby really is incredible here), but even Shitbag Wayne himself, seeing as it was mostly picking at his own legacy within the very act of legacy-making. Can't imagine what the 70's sequel could possibly add to this.
