Little Women

My first time seeing (or reading) any adaptation of Little Women, and overall, I enjoyed it a lot. I will admit, as a first-time viewer, the cuts between different time periods were confusing to me. I got the overall gist, but I think I will need to revisit this movie, or the 90s version, to really grasp it as a whole. Also, I know that Beth was the best of them, but sadly Beth, you were outshined by all the other sisters. I'm sorry!

Little Women

“i cant believe childhood is over” first hour of the movies is just so happy and fun and of course there’s always going to have its bad times but the childlike joy is the best feeling you’ll ever have and feel and then you have to grow up and you realize you can never go back to it ever again. everyone goes their separate ways, everything is so hard, you feel lonely, and it feels like you’re lost trying to find your back to that same feeling you had as a child and that’s so heartbreaking. i cried so much in this movie its insane, its like the moment the 2nd half of the movie started the floodgates opened and im crying every 10 minutes. such a beautiful movie about girlhood and womanhood. greta gerwig you love making me cry don’t you?

Little Women

A near perfect film, Little Women does so much right. Firstly, the thought and care that went into this is immense, and truly a joy to watch. The acting is fantastic and literally everyone gives top draw performances. The tales of the four women are all equally enjoyable and interesting, with some happy and some sad to balance each other out. Timothée Chalamet as Laurie is great, Pugh, Watson and Ronan make for a perfect cast. The only let down of this film is the editing. I’ve seen quite a few reviews which are very similar to mine, it’s sometimes hard to understand what’s going on and when as time jumps around without any real indication or prompt. It can be easy to get lost but at the same time the story moves at such a fast rate you don’t really seem to mind. It’s a near perfect film and one which I would recommend to everyone.
