The need for power. Great performances by the three leads, this was gripping throughout. Emma Stones character in this is pretty crazy, and I liked how it showed the real villain of the story instead of having it spelled out. A good time.

i expected the movie to be much funnier but it wasn’t, but i did find some parts to be funny. the plot was interesting, the acting was amazing! i usually don’t like history movies but i enjoyed this one!

Alright, this was exquisite. Was really ensnared by it's almost anti-period-piece approach. The lush environment filmed like a dream, the fantastic cast, the blistering three-pronged attack of our lead characters and their spiraling existence in the fishbowl of palace strife. Really though, the occasional very wide-angle lens really accentuates their containment; it's not that they breath rarified air, they practically have to have it imported in order to survive!
