Wendy (2020) flew, only for this to fly too, but fell and broke almost every bone and lived to tell the tale.

While it may have had a tonal imbalance throughout a majority of the film, Peter Pan & Wendyprovides a fresh look at Peter Pam’s relationship with Hook, and genuinely feels like there’s a director behind the camera. It’s been quite obvious that a vast majority of the Disney live-action re-imaginings have been pretty lifeless, feeling more like a corporate cash grab than genuine art. Thankfully, with Lowery behind the camera, this film feels like there’s heart and soul behind it, not just a dull facade. This film fits quite well with Lowery’s previous work, and while I have not seen his take on Pete’s Dragon, I have faith it’s even better than this film. The biggest problem this film had was tone, which bounced around and wasn’t as consistent as I’d hope it would be. It’s refreshing to actually enjoy one of these re-imaginings, and I am hopeful that Disney can put out some good films if they get the right director. It’s a shame this went straight to Disney+, since it would have looked fantastic on the big screen.

honestamente eu não gostei do fato de terem mudado a identidade visual do Peter Pan e principalmente da TinkerBell, e a ambientação da Terra do Nunca também não foi das melhores, mas isso não torna o filme necessariamente ruim. acho que ele expressa bem o sentimento que o peter pan e as outras crianças tem de não querer crescer e o medo de lidar com isso. é um filme normal, nem bom nem ruim, mas considerando a história do Peter Pan, tinha potencial pra ser muito melhor

I haven't seen the original Peter pan since I was like a toddler so this is an unbiased review first off I quite enjoyed this more than I was expecting. I also didn't really mind the casting choices because they fit fine in this, Jude Law's captain hook steals the spotlight though. Wendy was surprisingly good too the most I remember from the original is that I found Wendy boring but in this I enjoyed her character. I usually hate live action disney remakes but this one wasn't that bad in my personal opinion. It makes me more optimistic for the little mermaid.

Lo que odio de estos live action es como la mayoría de la gente crítica solo con los avances y no ven el producto final. David Lowery hace magia con el país de nunca jamás. Me interesó está película cuando me enteré que era dirigida por el mismo que dirigió The Green Knight y definitivamente se nota su estilo en esta película. Además, David le da profundidad a los personajes pero esto se limita con el ritmo y duración de la película. Eso sí, Alexander Molony y Yira hacen buen trabajo como Peter Pan y Thiker Bell pese a las críticas y expectativas pero sobretodo es Ever Anderson cómo Wendy que se pone como la estrella al igual que Jude Law como Garfio.

We're thinking you could play Wendy's father in Peter Pan. Alan: Oh, ok, and is he a twist villian or...? Disney: Oh no, none of that, we just need you to come in and say "Kids, STOP that, go to sleep" Alan: Alright...are you sure you dont want me to make some animal noises? Disney: No, Alan, that'll be all, but we do have a movie coming up with a talking goat in it. Alan: Great, i'll take it.
