A weak script, and uninspired direction weigh this down, despite strong performances. More of a star studded After School Special than anything. I will say, the way the film deals with the grooming, and the nuance of the situation, Annie is really well fleshed out, despite having to say some of the cheesiest lines. Might be decent as a cautionary tale if you need to help your children understand grooming and such, but otherwise you’re not missing much.
