The Seventh Seal

Death follows everywhere you go, it’s unavoidable and inevitable. You can’t even beat death at chess, he will cheat and find a way to win. The idea of the chess board being pieces of Antonius Block life is very interesting, with death slowly taking away piece by piece. The result of the game can never change, by the order the pieces are moved in can be.

The Seventh Seal

Took way too long to finally watch this perfection for the first time. RIP Max von Sydow; 90 years was a long chess game to play

The Seventh Seal

First revisit in many years. One thing I missed, totally missed, in those first Super Serious Important Film viewings was the humor, the approachable quality of it all. Laughter, tears, serene silence. And such faces! Consider the world, consider your end and all the creases of life, the blood yet pulses through your veins, the sun is still high in the sky, today you play chess with Death!

The Seventh Seal

The Seventh Seal is thoughtful, atmospheric, and rich with symbolism. The existential themes about faith, death, and meaning are powerful, even if the pacing is slow and demanding. Overall, The Seventh Seal is a profound and memorable classic that rewards patience and reflection. I would rate the film 4.3/5.

The Seventh Seal

Watched this as I've always seen people talk about it a lot and it's one of my friends favourite film. It was so beautifully shot. Genuinely one of those movies I'll keep rewatching and picking up on stuff that I haven't noticed before. Ngl some parts kinda creeped me out a lot. Death will always be there waiting. You can't escape it.

The Seventh Seal

A estética desse filme me atrai muito.

The Seventh Seal
