Send Me No Flowers
George Kimball overhears a conversation with his doctor that makes him misunderstand his own condition, he believes that he doesn’t have much time left because of an illness. However, he chooses to keep this a secret from his wife, Judy Kimball. One day at a party, he is accidentally kissed by another woman, and Judy also happens to witness it, leading to a misunderstanding. At that moment, George confesses his illness to Judy. Judy briefly sympathizes with him and hysterically insists on taking him for further treatment. But not long after, she meets George’s doctor and is told that George does not have any life-threatening illness. That’s when Judy becomes angry and assumes that George is using the illness as an excuse to cover up an affair. This film is quite funny because of the misunderstandings between the characters. It starts with George’s misinterpretation of his health and ends with Judy suspecting him of having an affair. And i think tony Randall is the best supporting actor in the relationship between Rock Hudson and Doris Day.
