this was a waste of an R rating for a superhero film, the potential was there. ewan was alright. surprisingly male gazey for a female director, so i’m wondering where in production that happened. i was about to raise my rating bc of the direction in the group fight scene but it was almost immediately followed by whatever that magical canary sonic propulsive boost to harley thing that happened.

Harley Q is phenomenal in this movie, with some of the coolest action sequences I’ve ever seen. Huntress was v cool but we didn’t see enough of her. The cop was pointless & added v little to the story. Overall well worth a watch, Margot Robbie killed it.

well fuck. i thought i was gay my whole life. then Miss Margot Robbie finished a ninety-five minute spree of 1) snapping dipshit male kneecaps, 2) telling dipshit men in the audience to fuck off, 3) moving on from dipshit men (PS to the dipshit men Joker stans in any comments section on here, especially mine: you're getting blocked immediately ❤️) and forging her independence, 4) helping bring together the best team in history to stop dipshit Obi-Wan, 5) being the sweetest person ever, 6) giving helpful breakfast tips, and 7) making the most fun comic film legitimately ever; looked directly through the camera at me; and said, "that's right. You Thought" Taylor Swift had a nice two week run, but as of right now Birds of Prey is my #FilmOfTheYear PS if you haven't already, start watching the animated Harley Quinn show streaming now on DC Universe. it's also pretty fun and in weekly bite-size 22-minute portions!

6 out of 10 stars some funny moments some good action sequences badass ladies overrated overall ewan mcgregor was like a generic movie bad guy also it felt every few minutes there was a new song playing that they added to the film just because they could not because it added anything to the scene (except for barracuda) i should say im not a dc fan and never read the comics so this movie was not made for me. HQ fans clearly loved it.
