Pretty enjoyable although it definitely feels slow in places. A good concept and an unique idea, I just wasn’t that into it. The acting is phenomenal though and the music is good. Watching it on the big screen with the love of my life was also a massive positive. Felt good to be back in the cinemas. Wish I enjoyed it more, but just felt it was very slow and even a little boring.

Spoiler 👇🏻 Que filme TRISTE pra caralho. Porém, de forma - mais ou menos - escondida trabalha PERFEITAMENTE um problema que absolutamente todo mundo tem. Ruben passou o filme inteiro buscando incessantemente a volta da vida que foi tirada dele sem aviso prévio ao invés de aceitar que agora aquela era a realidade dele, e foi triste ver a expectativa quebrada tanto dele quanto da Louise quando o tão aguardado momento chegou e pasme: Era tarde demais pra voltar atrás. A vida tinha mudado pros dois. Achei interessante a sequência de como as coisas foram acontecendo no filme. Primeiro a forma como ele se recusou a aceitar a nova realidade, depois ele aos poucos se adaptando mas ainda com aquela ideia de voltar ao antigo normal na cabeça, depois a frustração quando a ideia finalmente deu certo e ele teve a frustração de perceber que a única solução que ele se agarrou o tempo inteiro não era tão boa e jamais podia dar de volta pra ele o que ele tinha e por fim perceber que existe um certo conforto naquilo que algum dia tirou nossa paz, porque nós somos humanos e é assim que nós somos. A vida inteira é feita por ciclos. Sound of Metal é um filme que começa um pouco mais corrido e vai diminuindo o ritmo aos poucos, mas isso de forma alguma quer dizer que o final é menos impactante porque é justamente na calma que a gente encontra o silêncio e é no silêncio que a mente toma conta. Trilha sonora incrível, filmagem incrível, atuações incríveis, roteiro absurdo. No fim, lidar com as mudanças é inevitável, mesmo que exista a chateação de sentir o que você tinha escapar pelos seus dedos igual areia, sem que a culpa seja sua, sem que você possa fazer algo pra resolver, sem que você possa voltar atrás. Nós não somos donos do que achamos que somos, nós fazemos planos que não vão dar certo e nós nos apegamos em coisas que idealizamos; e é aí que a gente percebe que nada é como a gente pensa. How Olivia Cooke looked throughout the first third of the film is how I looked watching the entire film: on the verge of tears but unwilling to admit it because if you say what you feel out loud, you won't be able to stop An actual instant classic

i've been excited to see this movie since i saw the trailer and it did not disappoint! riz gave a beautiful and heartbreaking performance, i really do hope he and the movie gets recognized by the academy!

Sound of Metal portrays one of my biggest fears: the loss of sound, of the ability to listen. The film is not just a story of loss, but a deep exploration of adaptation and acceptance. I guess I stayed in Rubén's shoes for too long to understand that I would have reacted the same and that it wouldn't be easy to motivate myself to continue after that. Without a doubt, it is a movie that made me think a lot from the first time I saw it.

Expectation:★★★ Reality:★★★★ This was a great experience I feel that to a certain extent it's a difficult film to watch, but in the end it doesn't disappoint. The performances are absolutely incredible. Riz Ahmed manages to convey so much without saying a word that it seems incredible. "I need you to sit. And I need you to write. And if you can't sit, I need you to write that you can't sit."

What a wonderful, wonderful film. It’s hard to not get emotional when thinking about this film, but man, I’m beyond impressed. I know that I’ll have much more to say when I watch it again, but all I can say is wow. What a film.
