great choreography, spectacular colors though slightly corny. thought this is a remake, i’m rating partly on the story, of which i was unfamiliar. reasonably shakespearean. rita moreno was good! i liked the character. most of the accents kinda felt dumb lol. zegler i could believe tho. also surprised this gave dubose and oscar. weak year?

Colorful Fights In 2016, I had the opportunity to attend the musical West Side Story, staged by Iris Limbarth. At the time, I was overwhelmed with emotions and expected a similar experience from the film adaptation. This movie not only met my expectations but truly surprised me with its scale, staging, and choreography. I especially appreciated how Spielberg perfectly balances theatrical elements with cinematic expression. It is undoubtedly one of his finest works.

Haven't watch the original yet, but it's kinda tragic, no? Love the music tho, but it makes the duration feel so long, kinda lost at the end.

I had never seen "West Side Story" (the original, the musical and this one) until tonight and boy, I was not disappointed! The acting is great, the song/dance sequences are stellar, the set design is beautiful and Steven Spielberg proves yet again that he is a masterful director! I would have honestly loved another hour added to this 2+ hour film! I heard good things about this film and it's all true. It's a spectacular film and it made me cry

I didn't expected this to be so good. This was really beautiful and brilliant movie with really good performances by actors and crew. Movie gets more intense till it's end. Also , I didn't expected that I will like and enjoy those musicals that much. This turned to be amazing.
