A story that will warm your heart and educate you about AIDS. Even that is impossible searching for a cure like that but the boys bonding are so tight i even crying seeing their journey to find a cure. I just hope they're still pranking me cuz that ain't no way. Still denial. Want to see more of them.

The Cure is ideally a tearjerker's paradise. It's heart-rending schlock that shouldn't really aggravate anyone - however, its tedious behavior can run troubled as it knowingly waits for its gut punch. It aims to inspire and touch viewers throughout - really, its only nature to predict a foreseeable turn of events. I'm sorry, but the sadness that hits went right past me. In reality, this is a lighthearted picture with a rather middle of the road craft for heartbreaking compulsion. Fine performances, a stable source of entertainment, and a good message; The Cure is an acceptably poignant experience that could just so fall into TV family drama rubble. 2.7/5

“𝘐𝘧 𝘐 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘺 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.” Are the chapters of life defined by the way I’ve played? Are eras and cores defined by the time I’ve spent with friends? We don’t get too many of these movies anymore. Borderline Lifetime, borderline overly sentimental, but good god was I a mess of tears by the end. There’s a swiftness to the way the emotions swell, to the emotional beats, the levity of humor. It’s so well balanced with a wonderful performance from Renfro. There are totems here. The shoe. The weird ways we hold onto things, give them meaning, to give life meaning. To do so as a kid is an honorable defeat, but one that admits to a fuller, richer life.

That shoe scene burst me into tears. I watched The Cure when I truly need this kind of movie. Actually my inner child watched this one ❤️
