Barbarella’s a psychedelic space oddity full of vivid obscurity and vintage resonance, created in the late sixties where experimental drugs properly peaked. It's also the world's first R-Rated comic book movie. Weirdly interesting at first, the adventure however just gets weird and outrageously daft towards conclusion. Jane Fonda is eye candy nevertheless. Scratch the flaws and it's dumbly entertaining. Barbarella is simply an outlandish experiment that compliments a most bizarre sexual fantasy.
