we can't let good be just a word. it has to mean something. it has to change things ΰ»ππ’ β¦ βΉ i cried nonstop during the last 30 mins. such beautiful and meaningful storytelling and the camera work was absolutely magical. cynthia and ariana are the heart of the wicked films; their brilliance is utterly indescribable. truly a cinematic work of art

Still vibing with the second movie tbh, songs still hit, characters get way more fun layers. Not on the level of the first one, CGI kinda meh , and some of the plot twists had me gasping lol. But yeah, solid rec.

Beautiful costumes and set pieces mask what is otherwise a mess of a film. The acting is fine but the story is just convoluted, especially with them wedging in the 1939 classic tale in the middle. It just falls off as almost becomes silly, the witch takes refuge in a castle which is literally at the end of the yellow brick road, yet the villains canβt find her? The monkeys are also useless and serve no purpose in the film apart from being βfreedβ. Itβs just a silly story, but, in truth, it does have its charm. I enjoyed watching and, as mentioned, itβs beautiful in sets and visually. Sure, the lighting is an issue, but it can be forgotten when everything looks so well done. A good enough time.
