The Bourne Ultimatum
Easily the best of the original trilogy, JBS is pretty enjoyable even if itâs very similar to the previous entries. Even though itâs the best of the three, the film is still 90% chase scenes with Jason almost but not dying at the end. We learn some more about his past but not much, just that he volunteered for the program and his real name which I have already forgotten. Still, itâs enjoyable and a fun time.

91/100 Extreme Ways by Moby with Jason Bourne credits is the greatest thing ever put on film. Just too iconic. I always remembered a film that I had watched a really long time ago where the main character jumps into a river at the end, thatâs all I remembered and it took years for me to find but exploring YouTube indicated this could be from the Bourne trilogy and voila the finale. The exact setting that I remember was slightly different but maybe I misremember. The overall rating and the reviews on LB are proof that this community is sometimes highly ignorant, unappreciative and stupid as fuck with no taste for good cinema, I highly appreciate IMDbâs rating in this case. This should be the benchmark for espionage thrillers, no arguments. Skyfall is my favourite spy film and probably always will be but that film is not your traditional spy/agent film like this is, itâs more plot driven. Julia Stiles finally had a bigger role and she was breathtakingly beautiful in this movie. We as a film community should appreciate Matt Damon much more than we do for the work he has done in this trilogy. Also this film has the greatest line in a spy thriller - âJesus Christ thatâs Jason Bourne!â and you are not leaving him the fuck alone, the poor man just wants to know who the fuck he was and why they did what they did to him. He just wants to know his previous life. This movie is excellently directed and doesnât feel as cluttered as the first two films but especially the second. And itâs just a very exciting and intense watch.

âLook what they make us give.â Much more my tempo. Genuinely thrilling with about half the effort of what they attempted to do in Supremacy. Good action. Compelling character arcs. Fun ending that ties the trilogy together. Hell yeah.
