English: Superbad is a hilarious teen comedy that mixes the absurd with the painfully real. It’s crude, shameless, and ridiculously honest about what goes through the mind of a bunch of teenagers trying to lose their virginity before college. That’s basically the whole premise without subtext, yet somehow it still feels surprisingly human — with characters that feel real enough even in the most unreal situations. Seth, Evan, and Fogell (a.k.a. McLovin) are lifelong friends: the awkward trio everyone picks on, the outcasts who never get invited to parties. They’re about to face a big change: heading to different colleges, stepping into the unknown, and quietly realizing their lives won’t ever be the same again. The first act is genuinely funny, but the second one, when all those ridiculous misunderstandings start piling up — the whole “broken telephone” chaos trying to get alcohol— it honestly gave me anxiety. I hate when movies spiral into that kind of mess; it’s like, please, just get to the damn party already. But yeah… still entertaining. Once they finally make it there after that wild, anxiety-fueled journey, everything just clicks. The tone shifts, and it gets warmer; there’s booze, honest confessions, and real vulnerability. They start being honest with themselves, and I loved that. You finally get why Seth acts like such a jerk: he’s scared, frustrated, and doesn’t know how to deal with it. And that’s what makes them so relatable: that fear of leaving your comfort zone right when your hormones, insecurities, need to belong, and the urge to explore are crashing all at once in a single endless night. Those chaotic stages of life that later turn into pure nostalgia. It almost feels like a reminder to live fully, because those days never come back. Disastrous, awkward, even embarrassing moments that eventually become warm, funny memories — the kind that make you smile years later. And nothing sums it up better than the moment when the cops ruin McLovin's big night. The scene where Seth saves Evan is genuinely sweet, and their reconciliation afterward really lands. I also loved the ending. Emma Stone’s charisma is insane: she completely steals your attention every time she’s on screen. I also really liked everything between Jules and Seth, especially that hilarious black-eye scene. Even though comedy isn't my cup of tea and the humor relies almost entirely on horny teenage jokes — which got a bit tiring after a while — it’s still a wildly entertaining film with a ton of personality and I had a great time. Everything they went through just for the hope of having one unforgettable night is insane. And even though things didn’t go the way they expected, it truly was unforgettable, and it ended up being so much better than what they were chasing. Also, McLovin totally carried this movie, having the most fun while everyone else is suffering. And, well… he’s also the only one who actually got laid. Lol — or at least I think he did. P.S: The script here is amazing too — so many clever references to film culture, music, and everything in between. I loved that. And oh my god, Seth just never shut up, hahahahahaha. Es algo cruda, atrevida y ridiculamente honesta con lo que pasa por la cabeza de un grupo de pubertos desesperados por perder la virginidad antes de entrar a la universidad. Esa es básicamente la premisa sin subtexto, pero aun así logra sentirse sorprendentemente humana — con personajes que, dentro de todo lo irreal, se sienten reales y llenos de personalidad. Seth, Evan y Fogell (alias McLovin) son amigos de toda la vida: el trío de raritos inseparables al que todos molestan, los marginados del colegio a quienes nadie invita a las fiestas. Están a punto de experimentar un cambio abrupto al tener que separarse para ir a diferentes universidades y adaptarse a un entorno completamente desconocido… y darse cuenta, poco a poco, de que sus vidas no volverán a ser las mismas. El primer acto es realmente gracioso, pero el segundo —cuando comienzan a acumularse todos esos malentendidos, ese caos tipo “teléfono roto” cuando tratan de conseguir el alcohol para la fiesta de Jules— me dio bastante ansiedad. Odio cuando las películas se enredan de esa manera; es como: “ya, por favor, váyanse a la fiesta”. Pero bueno, aún así fue muy entretenido. Y cuando por fin llegan, después de toda esa travesía frenética llena de malentendidos, todo mejora mil veces. El tono cambia y se vuelve más cálido. Con todo el alcohol encima, hay confesiones humanas en momentos de vulnerabilidad, comienzan a ser honestos consigo mismos, y eso me gustó mucho. Se entiende por qué Seth se comporta como un idiota, pues está irritado, frustrado y asustado por lo que viene. Y siento que eso es lo que los hace tan relatable: ese miedo de salir de tu zona de confort justo cuando los impulsos carnales, las inseguridades, la necesidad de pertenecer y las ganas de descubrir el mundo te abruman todas al mismo tiempo. Etapas caóticas de vida que luego se transforman en pura nostalgia. Por eso se siente como un recordatorio de que debemos vivir cada día como si fuera el último, ya que esos días no volverán. Esos momentos desastrosos, incómodos, incluso vergonzosos, que con el tiempo se convierten en anécdotas cálidas, de esas que te sacan una sonrisa fogosa. Y nada lo resume mejor que el momento en que los policías le arruinan la noche a McLovin y toda esa conversación en la habitación. La escena donde Seth salva a Evan es muy bonita, y su reconciliación después de todo también. El final me gustó mucho. Emma Stone tiene un carisma que, dios mío, capta mi atención de manera increíble; ella siempre está espléndida en pantalla. Todo lo de Jules y Seth me gustó mucho, sobre todo cuando le deja el ojo morado. Y aunque casi todo el humor se base en que son pubertos obsesionados con perder su virginidad — es cierto que si llega un punto en el que cansa un poco y abruma—, sigue siendo una película completamente entretenida con mucha personalidad. Además que el guión es buenísimo: tantas referencias a la cultura del cine, la música y todo eso me fascinó; lo hacía realmente estimulante en ciertos partes. Y dios mío, Seth nunca se callaba ajsjsjajsjsjsjjs. En general, fue experiencia rara, porque la comedia no es mi género favorito, pero aún así la disfruté por el contexto en el que se desarrolla. Todo lo que tuvieron que pasar únicamente por el ahnelo de pasar una noche inolvidable, es muy loco. Y aunque no lograron lo que finalmente querían, realmente fue una experiencia inolvidable y terminó en algo mil veces mejor de lo que se imaginaban. Y para finalizar, tengo que decir que McLovin es el propio que acarreó toda la película: es el que "menos atención” recibe, pero es el que más se la vacila, mientras los otros están sufriendo.
