Diary Entry forAbducted in Plain Sight
i figured out that i can live with my tragedy in a way that my tragedy doesn't run me anymore ּུπ βΉ jan speaking to her abuser with so much assertiveness in court was music to my soul. i cant believe there was a time when parents were this naive and could allow their child to be around a grown man for so long and alone as well to make matters worse βΉ honestly if jan had decided not to forgive her parents and abuser, i would have completely supported her too bc wtf? berchtold was a disgusting coward and im sure he's spending his eternal sentence looking up at us

Abducted in Plain Sight
Abducted in Plain Sight is one of the most talked about documentaries in a while, other than Leaving Neverland, so I thought I'd see what everyone was talking about. And wow, what a wild documentary this is. The general plot of the documentary sounded so obscure and so out of this world, it really could be the plot of a film, rather than a true crime documentary. It was very interesting, but did seem to be a little rushed in the beginning. I'm not sure if it's because of the lack of material, or them just wanting to get into the meat of the story from the get go, but the beginning of the film doesn't allow us to really know much about the family before finding out the details of the crime, which just seemed too rushed. Other than that, it's an interesting and entertaining documentary, and certainly is worth the time to find out just how impossible everything seems to be.

Having just watched Unknown Number, I felt like revisiting this Netflix doc. Itβs equal parts insanity and heartbreak rolled together to detail terrible events in a way that makes your jaw hit the floor time and time again. If you havenβt seen it, buckle up, because this is wild.
