Bicentennial Man

I feel saddened knowing how incredible Robin Williams is and is late enough to realize it. The legacy that Robin Williams has left will always be celebrated.  The feeling that Andrew needed to feel human and do whatever it takes to do so resonates something deep inside me. Imagine going through all your life and programmed to do the one thing but not do the very thing that is easy enough for people—human beings—to do so? I think it's a beautiful journey for Andrew to realize that he's unique and will do whatever it takes to make himself human because human beings are unique in their own different yet special way.  Debating on whether or not he knew he was about to pass as being a human and his marriage with Portia being validated on his death bed is not the priority but it does show how much you understand and resonate with Andrew. Looking back at it, I think he knew deep inside he is "human" but with people around him treating him differently, it creates a conflict. I think that's why I understand Portia's words where it was better that he didn't know because Andrew knew he is "human" and that was enough.  Robin Williams just makes you warm instantly and that helps with Andrew's character immensely. I think that's part (or most) of the reason why I love this film.

Bicentennial Man
