Troop Zero

"I am here!" Mckenna Grace March (https://boxd.it/TdwWe)The Mckenna Grace filmography run continues. Going into this I wasn't expecting anything special. But it was a lot better than I was expecting. Its supposed to be a kids film yet it felt so much more too me. The story was solid and an average concept. Except the ending is the opposite of what you'd expect. Its full of emotional and heartwarming scenes. I never thought watching a group of birdie scouts trying to be something, would make me actually feel sad. Like unironically I found this to be sad. It was also very heartwarming and happy as well. The main cast was great. Viola Davis and Mckenna Grace carried. The other kid actors are solid as well. This might be one of my favorite Mckenna Grace roles ngl. Phoebe is my current favorite but Christmas Flint was such an enjoyable character for me. All of these characters I found pretty enjoyable. I also really enjoyed all the different character dynamics. All the science stuff was cool to see. It makes me want to rewatch (Crater 2023) with Mckenna Grace. I was expecting more of a comedy but this just got emotional as ever. However there was some comedy and most of it I found ok. The soundtrack is great as well. The kids singing was so wholesome. The message behind this was good too. That ending hit hard tbh. Watching a group of kids looking for meaning actually resonated insanely hard with me. Seeing them scream out into the universe hoping to be heard hit way deeper than I thought it would. Overall, this was such an emotional heartwarming and enjoyable experience. Such a shocking and unique experience. This might be my favorite Mckenna Grace movie ngl. But then again What We Hide was phenomenal. Mckenna Grace filmography cooks again, I swear there are no misses. Edit: this was the 100th film I watched this year πŸŽ‰ Edit 2: the kids singing David Bowie has been stuck in my head since I watched this lmao. (March 21)
