Frank Sinatra, Grace Kelly and Bing Crosby come together to make one of the best films of the 1950s. It’s hilarious, fun and interesting, with iconic performances from everyone. The worst part is that it’s a musical, but everything else is perfection.

School Movie Club: #59 (Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025 meeting - had to leave early for Wicked: For Good) (https://boxd.it/rTvb4) Nothing super notable about the story itself but the cast was stacked and the music was great. 6.5/10

It cuts back on some of the problematic stuff, fleshes out the romance of those two main characters a little, AND is a musical starring Kelly, Sinatra, and Louis Armstrong, so all that is nice. But other than that I have to say, I had more fun with the original film, The Philadelphia story - the direction, most of the cool snappy dialogue, the chemistry and the overflowing charm of all the leads made it the superior film. Thank you to High Society for introducing me to it.
