Cinderella

A film as visually stunning as Cinderella deserves lots of attention, which this film has been getting. Whether it's good attention or bad, Cinderella has captured the minds of many people. Disney has been doing many recreations of classic Disney tales, this one focusing on Cinderella. As I have never seen the original Cinderella (which I will be watching soon hopefully), I had no idea really what the story was, which made this a very interesting watch for me. Branagh did a beautiful job shooting this. The sets were extravagant, as were the costumes. Everything was truly beautiful in this film. The animation was done very good as well. Disney is known for producing things that are magical, and Cinderella truly is magic. Even though I haven't seen the original film, Cinderella feels as if it does justice to the original. It came at the perfect time, as Disney is now putting out reimaginations of their films, with Maleficent being the first (it was a good film, but nowhere near as good as this). Disney has a lot to live up to with these new films, but hopefully The Jungle Book does a good job too. Cinderella is one of the most iconic Disney films ever, and this remake of it does a fantastic job retelling such a widely known story.

Cinderella

Woke up thinking of Richard Madden so I knew I hadto rewatch this. So here I am, sat weeping at how good of an actor he is and how incrediblehe looked in those white leggings. At 4 am. Seriously speaking, this movie was just so beautifully enchanting. It took me back to my childhood and I realized how much I actually used to love it. Romance, magic, hope. So lost on people these days, so lost on me, and I got them back for a while. I also think my brother did too. He found me sitting there watching this in the dark living room while everyone was sleeping, told me โ€œiama sit with you,โ€ while he ate my desert. He chuckled at the jokes and absolutely agreed with me when I said Richard had beautiful eyes lmao. We laughed when I said the dress matches Richardโ€™s eyes and then sat silently watching the movie with a stupid smile on our faces. Like we were children again. Better than the original imo. And yes there is an extra star for Richard alone. Sorry I donโ€™t make the rules.

Cinderella

โI have to tell you a secret that will see you through all the trials that life can offer: have courage and be kind.โž โWhen there is kindness, there is goodness. When there is goodness, there is magic.โž ยท ยท โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€ ยทโ‹†โ‹…๐–ค“โ‹…โ‹†ยท โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€ ยท ยท Of the various live-actions Disney has made over the years, Cinderella is undoubtedly the most beautiful. Lily James is perfect as the titular character, and I absolutely loved Cate Blanchett's portrayal of Lady Tremaine was brilliant. Prince Charming isn't the best Disney Prince, and though Richard Madden certainly does his best, I think his role could've been done better. However, the costumes and sets are absolutely gorgeous; Cinderella's blue gown for the ball and her wedding dress are among my favourite film outfits of all-time, and the colours all-round are simply stunning. I also really liked the soundtrack, and the cinematography was very well-done. All in all, I'd say of the live-action princess films I've seen from Disney, Cinderella has got to be the best one, and I think it's definitely worth watching at least once.
