Honestly I was so disappointed with how this film turned out. The first hour or so is pretty interesting, with okay characters and plot. But the second half of the film is nothing short of awful. It feels way out of its depth and really loses any credibility it had. Sure the movie is visually stunning, with beautiful sets and costumes. Yet, despite this the film is very shallow and meaningless. The CGI is also terrible and not scary in any way. The acting is pretty good but by no means great, and I say that sadly as I’m a big fan of the entire cast. The screenplay is bad. When reading many of the reviews it seems many people agree with my rating, yet this has a 3.6 average which is confusing, it really doesn’t deserve that. It makes me sad how badly this turned out, but oh well there has been lots of fantastic films this year.
