Yep, I went through a Tom Clancy phase at one point. Love this amped up Cold War-lite popcorn military tech crunch "I'm just an analyst" accents-be-damned ensemble. Someone pointed out how Sam Neil's officer only ever wanted to get to Montana-- it just doesn't get to happen until the dig site in Jurassic Park :D

Haven’t wTched this in probably close to 30 years. My family was always more of a PATRIOT GAMES family. This is still fantastic though, and I will never not wonder about what the ensuing Ryan films would’ve been like with Baldwin instead of Ford.

“... and the sea will grant each man new hope, as sleep brings dreams of home.” The most Dad film™ I've watched since John Wick or The Fallen franchise...damn. Anyways, this was a good Dad film™, don't get me wrong. I only slept halfway through it, but got to catch up (in a way). Also: watched for Sean Connery....stayed for Sean Connery, Sam Neill and Tim Curry. Connery hot as hell though, good lord 😩
