Jigsaw

Better acting, better colour grading, better quality, same tired, repeated twists and script. But I guess it maintained the essence of Saw. I’ll keep watching, and I must say I’m particularly excited for the last two films in the franchise. They did get me with the seamless switching between past and present. Brava. SAW is BACK baby, and marginally better.

Jigsaw

Night 28 of 31 Nights of Halloween Once you've seen one Saw film, you've practically seen all of them. They follow a very simple formula; let you get attached to the characters, kill them off, but leave one person alive for a surprise twist in the end. Jigsaw follows this same formula, leaving one person alive long enough to understand exactly what was going on throughout the film. While the twist itself is a change for the series, the rest of the film is as predictable as the rest of the series. It seemed like Jigsaw was going to be a reboot, a change to the formula, but sadly enough it doesn't take the risks of changing things up, making it one of the more forgettable of the Saw films thus far. Eight films in, this series really is starting to drag on, and there really was no need for this film, everything would have been fine with The Final Chapter. Alas, here we are with yet another installation into the series that really just needs to end.

Jigsaw

Jigsaw still maintains to be a fun film, even if the twists don’t end up being worth the watch in the end.

Jigsaw

- Now the saga is over you realise how important John, Hoff, Amanda and Jill are for enjoyment / driving a story. - ZzzzzZZZzzzzZzz - Maybe watching this right after is influencing my rating but no one here is memorable at all, seems soulless
