Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
"Damn!" I haven't seen this movie in years. I had a huge TMNT phase back in 2012 so it's been about 9 years since I've seen this movie. I saw it was on HBO Max and since I found that out, some part of me was itchin to watch it again. So I did... There's a lot to love about this movie. It's a fun movie with some damn good cinematagraphy and an underrated score. The story is a hodge-podge of both TMNT comics lore and TMNT cartoon lore, which makes more a nice blend. The actual turtle costumes are insanely perfect and honors it's origins - they were made by Jim Henson's Creature Shop so it's to be expected The only real thing I didn't like was some of the dialouge. It's a kids movie so it leans towards that while maintaining some adult humor and pop culture references. That doesn't make it bad but it feels a little over-the-top and at times cringey. Maybe that's just me and my insecurity to watch a kids movie at almost 20 years old. Who knows Anyways, this film is a fun time regardless. Kids will love it (like I did at age 11) and TMNT fans will too!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
the most impressive thing about this movie is the high kicks in those suits
