It's amazing seeing Saw before all of it's glory! The short is good. Sadly, it is nothing compared to the next movie. This sets the idea for Saw, bringing in the most iconic trap. It grounds all of the ideas, making them work to create Saw. James Wan did a really good job directing the short. It had some of the same shots that were used in Saw, which made it feel familiar. Leigh Wannell being in the film also made it feel familiar, since he is in the other Saw movie. Altogether, Saw is a decent short that leads to a much better film.

I'm suprised at how good this is for a rough short. It's got good pacing, it's very tense, the atmosphere is perfect and the music slaps. Obviously it's a little rough at times and can feel like a music video for "Korn" but I really enjoyed it!
