La ví hace unas horas y ya me olvidé de la trama, no puede ser buena señal. Divertida.
Insidious: Chapter 3
Insidious Chapter 3 brings back Elise to help a girl living in the city. Now, it's interesting to have the film set in an apartment building instead of a neighborhood. For me, it didn't feel as "real" as the previous films, just because of the apartment setting. The suburban home felt a lot more realistic than the city apartment building. But still, I see why it was used for the prequel. There weren't as many scares, which were only made up of jump scares. There were a few scenes that truly had frightening aspects to them, but they were only small scenes. The atmosphere felt a lot different in this one too. The other Insidious films had a darker feel to them. With Chapter 3, the only scenes that truly had this feeling were when they were in the Further. I wish this darkness had made up the entire film, instead of only a couple minutes of it. Altogether though, Insidious Chapter 3 is a nice visit back to the Further and a decent debut for Leigh Whannell.
Insidious: Chapter 3
Where Insidious: Chapter 2 created a deeper, more captivating universe for the series, Insidious: Chapter 3 offers something a little different - lackluster characters with few genuine scares. It's still an entertaining horror film, but coming from the height of the previous installment, this one feels short in comparison. While it is a departure from Wan's direction and Whannell stepping forward to direct, there's a clear difference between the styles and scares. The first two films do rely heavily on jump scares, but the most frightening aspect is the atmosphere, which Chapter 3 lacks. The first half of the film seems to drag along at a glacial pace, and finally starts picking up toward the latter half of the film. The characters here are familiar, since we do get many of the same faces, but the new characters don't do anything for the story. We do get introduced to some interesting villains, but overall, the characters seem bored to be in their situation, which in turn makes us viewers bored of it as well. This isn't necessarily a bad horror film, since there are some decent scares, but pales in comparison to the first two films of the series.
