Incrível a subversão de expectativas que esse filme apresenta desde a sua introdução. Se o título nos vende um final épico de guerra, o que pode ser no início da história, logo temos uma história que vai falar sobre os bastidores da guerra, sobre aqueles que são as vítimas diretas e indiretas, o trabalho forçado em campos que subjuga um indivíduo por ser considerado "inferior". Não apenas isso, aqui temos um filme sobre êxodo populacional. A busca de um lugar pra chamar de seu, ter a oportunidade de existir, de ser um indivíduo livre. E a parte que mais chama a atenção, a forma como o ser humano na beira de sua extinção precisa demonstrar sua "superioridade" racial subjugando aqueles que ele considera inferior, mas que se nega a se dobrar e prova por A+B que unidos somos fortes, macacos unidos são mais fortes.

War for the Planet of the Apes is the epic conclusion to one of the best series to have been released this century. This version of Planet of the Apes is darker and focuses on humanity and how horrible humans can truly be. This is the darkest of the series, with death looming over every scene. It's a harrowing film to watch, but a film that still stuns. The visuals never cease to amaze, with Serkis truly deserving an award for his contribution to this series. Caesar is a character that has had so much growth and has become a beacon within these films, it's sad to see these characters go away but it's still an epic conclusion to an amazing series.
