The Blob

The Blob managed to keep my attention for a while, but towards the end of the film, I found myself wanting to watch the original, rather than this rendition of the story. This one is a little more scary, with more terror and gore, but it just wasn't able to keep my attention. Maybe it was because I had already known the story and what was going to happen, but there are other films that are like that that are able to keep my attention throughout. The Blob is a classic film, both the original and this take on the story, and it's clear to see why. The Blob is a fun 80's horror film that packs a lot of gore into a short running time, truly getting that 80's aesthetic in there. It's a fun film to watch with friends, but really isn't something that I'd want to revisit anytime soon.

Eu não sei como foi a produção desse filme, se eles tinham pouco budget e tal, só que eu particularmente me impressionei. Eu esperava uma obra muito mais pastelão, mal feita ou simplesmente uma comédia assombrosa, mas na real, é um filme muito legal que tenta ser profissional e consegue ser impressionante. Os efeitos não estão horríveis, tem uma direção muito boa, tem cenas engraçadas, assustadoras e muito icônicas. A cena do cinema inclusive é muito foda, a direção arrasou naquela luzes piscando. Não tiverem medo de matar ninguém, nem aliança álias, tem um vilão meia boca porém ao mesmo tempo odioso. Pra mim ele só pecou no final, primeiro porque deram abertura pra continuação e não teve e segundo que eu queria um pós mostrando os personagens, o luto, etc.

I'm back guys lol Wow this film surprised me a lot. I had no idea amanda from saw was in this. For a film where the main villain is a literal blob this went way beyond my expectations. The horror was actually pretty good. The gore was shocking seeing the blob just suck in people. I'm glad I'm starting to see a lot more badass final girls in horror. Meg was great. Flagg was also sick. No shock that a government agency is evil. Also the sounds/music aspects is something im starting to appreciate more, this had some pretty great musical queues etc. The ending was a bit weird with the reverend idk if they were trying to tease a sequel lol. It took me like an hour to find a place to watch this which is surprising after viewing idk why this isn't more widely available to watch. This is my first review in a while so I'm trying to get back in the hang of it.
