Blade II
So much fun and very solid blech moments! And Ron Perlman... he really is just cinema's sunavabitch, ain't he? đ Here we are two decades later and we're still rewinding a few times to check some of those neato critter transitions. Sigh, some of the full-figure CG stuff is... trying, it is trying... but hey, there are some decent attempts in melding it with the environment and practical effects. And finally, even in the midst of all the splatter and wall-to-wall ninja antics, Del Toro still creating a tender dignity for the monsters at the center of it.
Blade II
âYou, obviously, do not knowâŚWHO YOU ARE FUCKING WITH!â Itâs been like 20-ish years since Iâve seen this, so witnessing it with my adult eyes is basically like a first time watch. Man, GDT puts so much sauce in his filmmaking, I looove the visual style and camerawork. All the action sequences rip so hard, especially the underground tunnels bit and the last 30 mins or so. Blade will always be my favorite comic book character.
Blade II
âYou obviously do not know who you are fucking with!â ¡ ¡ âââââ âšâąââ°âš âââââ ¡ ¡ May not be as good as the first one, but Blade II still absolutely fucks. Sure, the plot is a little bonkers, and the CGI is a bit janky, but Wesley Snipes in that all-black outfit kicking the ass out of vampires is so much fun. Just one more film left, though I'm not really looking forward to watching Ryan Reynolds' shitty humour for two hours.
Blade II
Some of these effects aged like milk.
