Clerks II

Pretty funny flick but really shines towards the end! Kevin Smith shines at writing monologues and Jeff Anderson delivers one greatly! Gotta love a film that has a montage set to Smashing Pumpkins. The ending too with "Misery" by Soul Asylum playing while the color fades back to the classic Black and White. Good stuff! I'd say the only think I didn't enjoy this time around is how sterile the film can feel at times. Especially off the heels of "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". There's a great scene with character conflict but the constant spinning of the camera (+ quick cuts) made me too dizzy to focus on what they were saying Either way, I'm excited for "Clerks 3". I know it won't be in Black and White but it's good to see that it will be incorporated in some capacity (https://www.instagram.com/p/CTDsHZsjRRU/?utm_medium=copy_link)!!

rosario dawson i am so sorry they made u do this. the first one wasn’t particularly all that interesting but at least it was somewhat charming, this is just awful.

Cult of Personality 2023 (https://boxd.it/jw0oo) #41 of 52 | Rosario Dawson (https://letterboxd.com/actor/rosario-dawson/) It's been awhile since I've seen the first movie, but this one was surprisingly decent. It's got some laughable moments and quotable lines galore. Something about Jeff Anderson's voice just makes it so annoying to listen to yet satisfying at the same time. It almost sounds like he's got a little bit of a Minnesota accent or something? It's all just a blast. That poor donkey though.
