Insidious: The Red Door

it's no insidious 1 but it was okay. there were some good jump scare and i love that we get to see the father and son relationship again, that's what makes this franchise work

Insidious: The Red Door

Josh and Renai's divorce upsets me. the college/frat scenes felt out of place in this franchise and thats where this movie fails. its the only movie in the Insidious franchise that i consider bad. its not garbage but it was trying something different that did not work. btw that art teacher is a dick and i hate her

Insidious: The Red Door

It’s fine??  I can applaud Wilson and the writing team for wanting to take a different, more familial-drama take on this franchise, which did feel fresh! My biggest qualm was, once it got going, it became one and the same with the rest of the franchise (save for the first two films). There was a lot of potential here, but with a lack of atmosphere, all it became was a hollow shell filled with a couple jump scares. I enjoyed the way that the story went, I just wish that the dread that the first couple of films had was injected into this one. It felt a bit too sterile for my liking, leaving a decent story with a pretty lifeless film.  I really hope we’re done expanding this universe, since there isn’t much else to explore within the bounds that have already been set. It was cute while it lasted, but I think it’s about time to take a much needed break from the series.
