Scream VI

SPOOKTOBER #7 I've got to be real here, this installment feels a bit like déjà vu. It's in a new city, but the plot structure and character arcs remain pretty formulaic, echoing the previous five films. While there are a few attempts at new twists, they don't quite hit the mark and feel forced at times. It's still a fun ride, but I can't help but wish for more originality in the series.

“tell sidney he never got me” ”we’ re already a part of the same fucked up family and being a legacy does not have to be a bad thing” this is the first time i saw a scream movie in theaters and wow what an incredible experience. there’s a lot of thoughts running around my head and all i can say that this movie is fucking incredible (no surprise to that), just when you thought they couldn’t top the brutal kills and stab count in the last movie, oh they did with this one. the stabs are insane too the one with anika where she was stabbed in the stomach and ghostface is slicing up it was so brutal. all the chase scenes are so fun and intense to the point that i actually felt out of breath. the most awaited ghostface and gale phone call is everything i ever wanted and my god it was so nasty. all the things they said about her? my jaw literally dropped. when he told gale that she wasn’t there as dewey was taking his last breath, oh i literally froze it was so nasty and the way gale is crying letting her walls down, it was so good, courteney was incredible. then the chase scene itself, i was out of breath and trying so hard to not stand from my seat, this ghostface is so fast and efficient its insane. then there’s the conclusion, where i actually thought she was gonna die but my girl fought so hard and then her last words being “tell sidney he never got me” before she passed out, i was SOBBBINGGGGGGG. i actually thought i was gonna lose her and i thought i was ready and it turns out i was not i just cannot lose her. melissa as sam actually grew on me this time around, something abt this movie convinced me that she really is the perfect sam. the ghostface reveal oh i wasn't expecting 3 ghostfaces and them being a whole family of killers too? oh i was gagged. i wasn’t that shocked with the detective bcs there’s just something abt him that gives me the ick since the trailer dropped and when gale said something about evidences getting out because police throw away morales for money, i immediately had a feeling it was him. when it was revealed it was him i already knew that quinn is gonna be one of them but i had doubts because she died then with ethan, i was on mindy’s side she was so right for not trusting him but i didn’t actually think he’s gonna be a killer. one of the things i love most in this franchise is how meta they are, the way there’s so many easter eggs from the 2nd scream in this oh i loves it so much. i also love kirby’s interactions with everyone most especially with her and gale’s banter and her and mindy talking abt horror movies. i’m so glad that they left her side of the story an open ending because it means she’ll get to come back. also i love that they made chad the new dewey like with the amount of stabs he endured i actually thought he’s dead this time but just for it to end up with him being rolled out in a stretcher. chad and tara are ADORABLE too, jenna and mason’s chemistry is *chefs kiss*. the running gagged with mindy always missing the ghostface monologue? LOVED IT!!! IN CONCLUSION GALE IS MOTHER AND SHES ALIVE AND WELL AND HER KIRBY AND SIDNEY WILL MAXIMIZE THEIR JOINT SLAY IN THE NEXT MOVIE.

neve campbell is not coming back for this which means sidney is safe and living her best life AS SHE SHOULD however, courteney cox is coming back which also means that gale is not safe. i swear to god if they even think of laying a finger in gale im gonna be ghostface and im making everyone pay.
