Predator gets angrier. People keep dying. Animation looks like someone punched a painting and it worked. They connected everything at the end. I blinked slowly in approval. Solid experience. Would suffer again.

As someone who isn’t usually a big fan of anthology films, I did enjoy this quite a bit. I found the three stories all interesting in their own regard and the ending was by far the best part. For me the Japanese story was the best of the three but as mentioned all have merit. This almost feels like the least predator ‘predator’ movie, but it works and I look forward to seeing Badlands later this year.

Well choreographed and good fight scenes which is really all this needed to be enjoyable, the three scenarios being so different helped it stay fresh. I hope if they do further stories in this universe they continue to just make cool and interesting fights. Art direction is good but I think it could’ve benefited from a bit more time in the oven, animation felt a little stale at times

Acho muito digno uma franquia relativamente velha encontrar formas de se renovar, estilo, narrativas, gêneros, tudo permite que uma obra relativamente cansada conte novas histórias. Fica meio evidente que essa coletânea antológica de 1h24 deveria ter sido uma série, mas por questões maiores foi condensada em um longa metragem que conta 3 histórias espaçadas por tempo e eras da humanidade que convergem em um aceno que expande a franquia, conecta com o Prey e permite uma miríade de possibilidades. O estilo de animação que vai na onda do estilo do Aranhaverso com uma sequência de frames menor que possibilita uma ação mais dinâmica é funcional principalmente na segunda história e nas sequencias aéreas da terceira. Não sou muito fã daquele final, mas é curioso como o Dan Trachtenberg fez um aceno tão forte pra Predadores de 2010. De longe a melhor coisa é como a animação permite diferentes abordagens estéticas pros Predadores e como eles se encaixam nesses embates ao longo do tempo. Não é a reinvenção da roda, mas ganha pontos por ser entretenimento de qualidade, principalmente por ser visualmente atraente. Veria uma série de filmes só com esse conceito. Fico animado pra um futuro AVP? Não, mas isoladamente os aliens mais famosos do cinema de terror e ação brucutu rendem ótimos revivals!
