The Mummy's Tomb
The Mummy’s Tombtransports audiences from the deserts of Egypt to the United States for even more mummy mayhem. While the recap of the previous film went on for far too long, there still was enough substance to keep it interesting. It seemed more of a crossover at times with the story of Frankenstein, which made it pretty fun to watch. The characters are much more likable than those in The Mummy’s Hand, and there was just the right amount of tension to keep you on your feet, which makes some of the deaths hit harder. Altogether, it’s a cheesy b-horror movie, but I really have a soft spot for them. The Mummyis my favorite of the Universal monster movies, so any sequels will have that going for them, even if they’re not up to par with the first film.
