Sam é um autor que está na Itália a viagem, num período onde os jornais relatam que 3 mulheres forma brutalmente assassinadas. Voltando para casa depois de sair com um amigo, ele testemunha uma tentativa de assassinato contra a dona de uma galeria e após salvar sua vida, Sam se vê casa vez mais dentro dessa série de assassinatos em busca do culpado. Sendo a estreia de Argento no cinema e principalmente no gênero Giallo, o diretor propõe uma trama linear, com um mistério envolvente, uma investigação que te prende e personagens que você genuinamente se importa com o bem estar deles, essa obra utiliza do segredo a cerca da identidade de seu antagonista para criar situações de verdadeira ansiedade. Sem falar na competência do diretor em sempre usar o escuro a seu favor e nos instigar o tempo todo de que algo pode estar observando, pronto para atacar, acredito que o único defeito da obra é se encher de momentos dispensáveis em alguns momentos, uma óbvia pista falsa que resulta em nada realmente substancial. No mais "O Pássaro das Plumas de Cristal" é um bom filme de investigação e um bom suspense.

Film #4 of June 2017 Scavenger Hunt Task #6: A Film Released By Arrow Video Or Arrow Academy Dario Argento's directorial debut is an unforgettable one. Practically bringing giallo into the mainstream, The Bird with the Crystal Plumage shows how great of a genre this is. It has the aesthetic and general tone of the rest of Argento's films, really creating a distinct style that stays with him for many other films. While it may not be the best example of giallo in Argento's filmography, this film still manages to create a suspenseful story that would be stunning to see on Arrow's new blu ray.

Cult of Personality 2023 (https://boxd.it/jw0oo) #10 of 52 | Directed by Dario Argento (https://letterboxd.com/director/dario-argento/) I quite like Argento's style of horror. The story lost me a bit here and there, but the twist was interesting.
