Leave it to Tangerine Dream to elevate the scene. (Along with a bottle of champagne, happy Monday everybody!) We were yapping about the weightlessness of Ferris Bueller by comparison, or just the nearsighted ideals for teen sex comedies of that moment... nah, this one settles in quite nicely, the Reagan-era suburban ovipositor down the country's throat ready to Achieve & Seed the next forty goddamn years.

“Porsche. There is no substitute.” You’re damn right, baby Tom Cruise! Man this was so fun, great writing, performances and a sublime score/soundtrack. I’m inspired to say “what the fuck” more often now, bc why not? Intrusive thought: This movie is superior in every way to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, argue with the wall.
