On VHS. Pan and scan boomer home media royalty? First time seeing it in perhaps decades and yeah it's a well-oiled machine caked to the walls in liberal bullshit and fun levels of 90's star power. Those occasional Cruise outbursts having the glint of what Jim Carrey would stretch to feature-length in just the next couple years.

Spectacular performances all around, but my goodness, that has to be a top 3 all timer for Tom Cruise. The writing by Sorkin is impeccable, probably the best courtroom procedural scenes I’ve ever witnessed. One of the most “dad” movies ever made.

Movies used to look this good. Missing Rob Reiner like a motherfucker. Sorkin's script/dialogue is like music to my ears. TC says "we're going to be creamed." Demi Moore is gorgeuous, I get why my Dad had a crush on her back in the 90s. This movie is so damn movie

78/100 The film got better as it went on. Quality acting all round but the writing was quite weak for the first two acts. The third act however was brilliant court room drama. I mean is that iconic or what! Also, I’m glad the decision was rightly made at the end, morally correct. Quality movie this. And I must say Demi Moore was a goddess at the time.
