It’s not boring and Jill Hennessy is a goddess, but that’s about it. Fun supporting cast. This is definitely what KICKPUNCHERis based on in Communtiy, right? Like this specific film, not just the idea of Robocop. Peter Welles is sorely missed.

This feels like a progenitor to a lot of problems in the film industry today, especially when it comes to sequels and reboots. RoboCop 3 dumbs down the action, violence, and writing in an attempt to reach a wider audience for some reason, which is probably its biggest mistake. The fate of Officer Lewis kind of just soured the film for me, and the film doesn't recover after that point in my opinion. RC3 is sorely lacking the presence of Peter Weller; however, even if he was in this film, it would not have saved it. The new actor in RoboCop's shoes is given little to do, he's barely a character in this one. There's aspects of the film that could've worked if the script had been given another draft to flesh things out more. Overall it's just a big missed opportunity all around, and a disappointing final film in this trilogy. Thankfully it's mercifully short and doesn't overstay its welcome, unlike RoboCop 2.
