Diary Entry forWhere the Wild Things Are
The Bull: Hey, Max? Max: Yeah? The Bull: When you go home, will you say good things about us? Max: Yeah, I will. Primeiro, queria muito ter assistido esse quando era pequena, teria sido muito importante. :') Agora, eu adorei do início ao fim, mesmo que meio confuso, é um filme lindo e emocionante. Minha coisa favorita é definitivamente a trilha sonora, é simplesmente perfeita, assim como a fotografia, é confortável e sensível, fez o filme ainda melhor.

Just because a movie has a deep meaning doesn't mean it's good and this is a great example of it
Where the Wild Things Are
I recall reading Where the Wild Things Are for the first time when I was in kindergarten, where my art teacher read it to us and we had to draw one of the scary monsters in it. Ever since then, I really enjoyed things that were a little odd, a little scary, and I believe this book was the reason behind that. Now, 13 years after kindergarten, I finally get to watch Spike Jonze's version of my childhood book. Regardless of how scary the monsters were in the book, the monsters in this film were much more terrifying. It's amazing to see that this is aimed for children, as it is quite honestly terrifying, especially Judith. There were many times throughout the movie that made me think "This is aimed toward kids, right?" This is my second film that I have seen from Jonze, but I can tell that I am going to love his filmography. The entire film was shot so beautifully that it felt like I was Max, being transported into another mythical world. I'm surprised that it took me this long to watch Where the Wild Things Are, but I'm glad I finally got to see a favorite childhood book make it onto the screen, even if I was 8 years late.
