okay, i’m confused. because i loved this in terms of its fun visuals and quirky editing, as well as the performances from both leads (which by the way makes me think that mia wasikowska would be so good in a wes anderson film), but i have curiousities and questions left that bothered me when the ending credits rolled. simply put, i needed more.

i was annoyed by mia more than scared, i wish they brought us more into the “inside” world where riley was being feasted on but i guess mia will found out herself. but overall, this was a cool and neat concept, i just hoped for more.

from start to finish, every second of this film is perfectly cohesive. the overall cinematography, ooooh the sound design, editing and lighting of this movie turns me on. the devil has come home. we will pray. for the last time. the whites, both mother and daughter captured the tiltillating creepiness of the themes and their characters, they were both so mermerizing to watch in their beauty and madness. my current top 4 favorites are shaking.
