i had so much fun with this film, its really that kind of movie that i’d constantly rewatch, like this is family. i really love the dynamic between monk and the people around him, how disconnected and connected he is with everyone. when cliff said “people want to love you, i don't know what they see in you but you should let them” non-verbatim, literally almost made me cry. everyone here was incredible, kinda upset that we really didn't get to see all the siblings interact, that would’ve been so much fun. i also didn’t know this was based on a book but then again i should’ve guess when its literally nominated for best adapted screenplay, cant wait to get into the book though. erika, issa, and tracee are all so gorgeous wow.
