I'm talking about nuclear f*ing war! --------------------------------------------------------------- English: Miracle Mile is a nuclear holocaust thriller that starts off like a straightforward romance, then takes a brutal turn into an intensely paranoid, panic-fueled After Hours. The pacing becomes relentless, uncertainty takes over, and Tangerine Dream’s synthetic, colorful score never gives you a second to breathe in this surreal race against the clock. It’s a genuinely stressful watch, bleak as hell. There’s no time to think, only to run and make dumb decisions that somehow feel completely logical within the film’s constant paranoia and urgency. Dark, intense, and oddly fun. A roaming apocalyptic nightmare where love, chance, and collective panic collapse alongside the night itself. The script feeds that chaotic vibe through strange, high-stress situations that feel unsettlingly possible. A total mess and an unbearable ticking time bomb. I loved the switch around the 17-minute mark; the 88 minutes fly by. Highly recommended. The early romance didn't quite work for me at first (even though the opening is great), but once it flips, I was all in. Pure stress. It had me on the edge of my seat, completely desperate. It’s one of those movies where the less you know, the more you enjoy it. P.S: I definitely need more films with After Hours vibes: nocturnal and a bit chaotic. If you know any, please recommend some!

Miracle Mile

This is what my dreams feel like lmao. It starts as a quirky 80's romance but soon spirals into a tense anxiety inducing thriller and honestly I loved it. Though I was slightly disappointed with the ending but, you know what, that fine. This one just feels like a dream, loved the depiction of neon-lit LA, one of my favorite aspects of this movie. Cherry on top, Tangerine Dream score. Loved it.

Miracle Mile

Odd mix of a lot of different ingredients, and I'm still wondering if the recipe holds together if not for the Tangerine Dream score. Ha! Occupies a kind of middle point between made-for-TV event movie (shades of Fail Safe), Twilight Zone episode, and an author-driven passion-project that is trying to say something massive through a very individual lens. A "liked it till I didn't, then didn't till I did" situation. Stressful!

Miracle Mile

Harry was a boring character to follow, not because he wasnt some action hero, but because he was just uninteresting as a person. also for a situation that was time sensitive, Harry sure took his slow ass time moving around. and I'm supposed to believe Harry and Julie are in love after meeting one day ago? also, him trying desperately to get to her, a woman who again, he only met one day before instead of family or friends. its fine, i don't agree with the 3.8 average.
