Diary Entry forStop Making Sense
I’m freaking out. God, I loved him so much in this. He’s such a god on stage. This Must Be the Place. I love dancing and this kind of music. Disfruta y sé feliz :))) Go ahead!! PD: SOY FAN SOY FAN SOY FAN ;)) --------------------------------------------------------------- I’m freaking out. English: I swear I can’t stop thinking about how godly this concert felt. I’m so fascinated that I still feel in a trance I never want to leave. It was so electrifying and hypnotic that it felt like a current running through every fiber of your skin. The production design is so grand, so crystal-clear and immersive, it chills you, shakes you, and pushes you to move wildly to a groove that’s orgasmic—until you’re dancing freely around your room, completely lost in that slightly frantic, super funky, brutally synthetic, and psychedelic soundstorm. All the instrumentation beats with insanely organic, vibrant heat, with experimental passages that are unpredictable, playful, textured, and classic 80s creative brilliance. Here, the bass throbs in a messy-but-delicious way; the percussion, chaotic and polyrhythmic, injects the perfect dose of adrenaline into your veins; the guitars invade that unique mix with a frenetic, melodic pulse that drags your feet straight to the dance floor. And that magnetic assembly of the whole band makes everything feel so alive and perfectly synchronized that it lifts you up with the wonderful David Byrne. God, I loved him so much in this. He’s such a god on stage. His presence devours and vibrates with a freedom and weirdness so fully his own that it’s impossible not to smile and try to follow along. I swear I laughed more here than at any rom-com, with gestures so chaotic yet iconic 😭: that little dance in “Girlfriend is Better” with the giant suit, (https://youtu.be/Rauu_MNZXgo?si=EI0Msmyzamihe-nG) the flapping in “Life During Wartime", or even when he dances with the lamp in “This Must Be the Place.” He literally moves like jelly. I adore how he plays with his voice, throwing out onomatopoeias; they’re some of the funniest and most charming moments of his performance. And the whole band’s vibe (enjoying, grooving, sweating, dancing, singing with him) is so contagious it fills you with pure joy. This is definitely a concert film where weirdness becomes energy, energy becomes beauty, and beauty becomes pure kinetic motion. It made me feel so alive, so connected and inspired, it brought my soul back into my body. It’s been a while since I danced this freely and this happily. I love dancing and this kind of music. I have a new obsession, and its name is David Byrne in Stop Making Sense. This is a magical experience that any music lover should appreciate, whether you’re a Talking Heads fan or not. Enjoy and be happy :))) Go ahead!! P.S: I'M A FAN I'M A FAN I'M A FAN ;))

Stop Making Sense
Feels like David Byrne is doing something interesting with live performances as a medium and it’s shot extremely well throughout. Most important thing though is that the energy is infectious, everyone feels like they’re having the best time performing these songs.

"Girlfriend Is Better" I, who took the money? Who took the money away? I, I, I, I, it's always showtime Here at the edge of the stage And I, I, I, wake up and wonder What was the place, what was the name? We wanna wait, but here we go again I, takes over slowly But doesn't last very long I, I, I, I, no need to worry Everything's under control O-U-T, but no hard feelings What do you know? Take you away We're being taken for a ride again I got a girlfriend that's better than that She has the smoke in her eyes She's coming up, going right through my heart She's gonna give me surprise I think it's right, better than this I think you can if you like I got a girlfriend with bows in her hair And nothing is better than that (Is it?) Down, down in the basement We hear the sound of machines I, I, I'm driving in circles Come to my senses sometimes Why, why, why, why start it over? Nothing was lost, everything's free I don't care how impossible it seems Somebody calls you but you cannot hear Get closer to be far away And only one look and that's all that it takes Maybe that's all that we need All that it takes, I'll bet it's right All it takes, if it's right I got a girlfriend that's better than that And she goes wherever she likes (There she goes) I got a girlfriend that's better than that Now everyone's getting involved She's moving up going right through my heart We might not ever get caught Going right through, try to stay cool Going through, staying cool I got a girlfriend she's better than that And nothing is better than you (Wait a minute) I got a girlfriend that's better than this But you don't remember at all As we get older and stop making sense You won't find her waiting long Stop making sense, stop making sense Stop making sense, making sense I got a girlfriend shes's better than that And nothing is better than this (Is it?)
