“They have made lying into a universal principle.” English: Surreal, oppressive, absurd, and deeply uncomfortable. Almost Lynchian. Gorgeous and suffocating cinematography—shadows, geometry, and framing seem to swallow the accused whole. Feels straight out of German Expressionism, like a labyrinthine visual prison. I was fascinated by its framing and what the film intends to convey, but at times I felt as clueless as the protagonist… and even more so realizing he might be feigning insanity. It’s confusing, nightmarish, and suffocating—but it grows on you once you start unpacking it. I'm rewatching it and giving it a proper review when I have the time. There’s a lot I still want to say. Might bump up the rating on a rewatch. But I liked it and I'm a fan of the framing in this film. That’s the dirty game.” Spanish: Atmósfera surreal, opresiva, absurda e incómoda. Casi Lynchiano. Fotografía hermosa y asfixiante con sombras, geometrías y encuadres que devoran al acusado. Muy expresionista alemán, se sentía como una prisión visual laberíntica. Me fascinó lo que quiere representar, pero en varios tramos me sentía tan tonto como el protagonista… y aún más al pensar que quizá fingía demencia. Crece muchísimo al analizarla, ya que es confusa, absurda y sofocante. Tengo que revisitarla y oficialmente escribir la review cuando tenga tiempo. Tengo mucho que decir. Quizá al verla de nuevo la disfrute un poco más y le suba. Pero me gustó, amé la fotografía y muchísimos planos hermosos.
