The Martian

Functional adaptation. Both works are so heavily about the process (and the book allows for that internal play-by-play to a much more entertaining/fascinating degree), but Damon plays his isolated, deeply affected and tearful Watney in a way that helps complete the picture for me.

The Martian

FINALLY I get to see this, and the wait was well worth it. Earlier this year, I decided to read the novel before seeing the movie in theaters. I read the book and fell in love. So when the film came out, I was super excited to see it. But, sadly enough, I didn't get to see it then. But I finally saw it now and that wait was well worth it. Scott did a beautiful job directing this. After last year's miss on Exodus: Gods and Kings, Scott redeems himself with The Martian. It was beautifully shot and surprisingly fresh. Damon seemed, at first, to be an odd choice to play Watney, but he ended up He was able to bring the dramatic role to life, while still incorporating the humor that his character always had. I'm really glad Damon ended up being the choice to play Watney, since he seemed to be the perfect person to play him. Altogether, The Martian is a stellar film. There were some things that they didn't include from the book (some things were actually really big obstacles), but I let them be, since this film was so well done. The Martian brings Scott back to greatness, bringing us to the place where we always are curious about; space.

The Martian

Tenho uma sensação que o Matt Damon fez esse filme pra compensar o papel de vilão que ele fez em Interestelar. ele literalmente fica preso em outro planeta (DNV) mas é só uma sensação.
