I've always been into films about films, and this one really got me teary-eyed.

was forced to watch it in french dub because my mother wouldn't watch it any other way for philippe noiret (even though she's already seen it and i haven't). it was nice but the french dub for all the other characters made me lose interest in the movie. but i do know that when i eventually rewatch it in its original language in italian, it'll move me like it has moved so many people and the ending will make me cry like it made my mother cry.

Yes, this is one of the best films ever made and the best film ever made about cinema. The ending is the best ending I’ve ever seen to a film, love throughout the ages, life itself in all its meaning and glory, a true masterpiece and I film I absolutely loved watching.

Remember seeing this for the first time in my high school Italian class w a crazy teacher. The rest of the class was whatever but on rewatch I feel like I should’ve thanked her more for showing me this at 16.
