Shallow Grave

Not bad by any means, but no necessarily good either, this was fine. All they had to do was hide the money and phone the police explaining what had happened and they’d of been fine, they didn’t need to cut up and hide the body. Also, Ewan McGregor plays one of the most unlikable characters I’ve ever watched in this, what an absolute c*nt his character is. Not terrible but wouldn’t really recommend.

These are the things that matter, that help you on your way. If you can't trust your friends, well, what then... What then?... This could’ve been any city. They’re all the same.” If this doesn’t have the most orgasmic opening scene ever, I don’t know what does. The title theme by Leftfield sets the entire tone for the film, and also, Ewan McGregor is absolutely fucking hilarious in this.

“You’re smarter than he is.” “Yeah, well that’s what I’ve always thought.” The characters in Shallow GraveShallow Grave (https://media.giphy.com/media/UAHZijO91QCl2/giphy.gif), not the set up, but the characters, and their gradual descent into paranoia and hysteria around each other is what makes the film so distinctive and compelling. Perfect example of taking a simple concept and elevating it with an excellent screenplay.
