why you gotta do all this monkey business?? similar to my thoughts on “prince of darkness”, i liked the psychedelic drug trip parts where it got all freaky but the rest of it with the scientific/academic talk isn’t fully on my wavelength

Cult of Personality 2023 (https://boxd.it/jw0oo) #45 of 52 | Make-up by Rick Baker (https://letterboxd.com/make-up/rick-baker/) Sadly, this didn’t really pique my interest until about an hour in. From then on, it was great: disturbing imagery, crazy music, and amazing make-up and practical effects of course. The overall plot was a bit bizarre and I’m sure there are some things that I missed or didn’t understand, so I’ll have to do some post-watch research. The only other downsides in this film were the obviously bad greenscreen and the totally lame ending. Other than that, it was an ok movie.

The most distressing thing about this film is Bob Balaban with a (mostly) full head of hair.
