Hank Palmer was the most Red flag counsel / attorney / judge i've ever seen. But yeah the drama almost made me cry. But the important part not as intense as Angry Men or Juror #2, but still enjoyable.

Robert Duvall is up for an Oscar! From this, I can tell why he was nominated. The Judge isn't your typical courtroom drama, but it is your typical courtroom drama. There were different aspects, like the whole "father issues" and family trouble, but you could tell what was going to happen. But it still made it seem like a good film! It did seem to drag on. I looked at the time and I was only an hour and a half into it. I was just wishing that things would start wrapping up, since it felt like it several times throughout. Was the ending the best? No. I felt like that was exactly how it was going to end. But it still had a pretty good ending. Robert Duvall did a great job in this. He seemed really natural to play the part, and he did an amazing job. I'm still glad he is doing great movies. The Judge was typical, but was worth the watch. I'd suggest watching it, but be warned about it's slow pace.

So, the “happy ending” to the Leighton Meester storyline is that he didn’t make out with his daughter, just his niece. Did I get that right?
